RULES OF "THE UK JUDGES FORUM"
(These rules apply to both the forum and the Facebook page where you should replace "forum" with "page")
All material is used under the Fair Usage terms of copyright law. This group is a non-commercial web database meant to serve the users, existing followers and encourage new fans, of Judge Dredd and 2000AD.
By posting on this forum you agree that you have read and understand all of the general rules.
Each post is the total responsibility and at the discretion of each individual and they agree by participating that they are personally responsible for their own actions.
The moderators of this forum/page do not accept any responsibility for other user’s posts.
TERMS OF SERVICE
Please take time to read Proboards TOS as it highlights their own usage parameters outside of our rules as a forum/page. One of the most important terms is CLAUSE 15 which states:
"You maintain full ownership of all your User Content posted to ProBoards. Because You own Your User Content, under the law, ProBoards requires a license from You before it can allow the User Content to be posted on the Website "
With this taken into account and also that we have professional bodies affiliated with us, we will take plagiarism very seriously which will be reported to the DMCA.
VOTING AND ADMINISTRATION
There are a maximum of 8 administrators on this forum/page whom are here to help facilitate it's day to day running. They are also here to be of help to you, a point of contact for any discussion or complaint you may have.
(The administration voting process is only available via the forum.ukjudgesforum.com)
Administrators are voted in on a bi yearly basis. This consists of a 1 week run up where any forum member can put their name forward or suggest a member to be considered for the role.
This will be followed by a public 2 week vote where 4 new administrators will be chosen and 4 will be voted for retention. The reason for this is to maintain smooth and coherent running of the forum/page and ensure that judgement and opinions of the administrative staff are as well balanced as possible.
This process will be as open and transparent as possible where upon the 1st of February and 1st of August each year, a board will be opened up with a sticky thread for members to put their name down or suggest another member to be included.
On the 14th of the month a new sticky will appear within the board with a list of all the suggested new administrator names, each with a tick box to vote. You will be required to check a maximum of 4 names.
Along with this will be a list of the current administrators with tick boxes, where you check for the members you wish to retain, as before a maximum of 4. Once voting has closed, the administration team will count up all of the votes and post the results along with the names of who are in the team for the next 6 months.
If a member resigns from the team within their 6 month term, they shall not be replaced.
Unfortunately due to continuity, members cannot put themselves forward or be suggested if they administrate on any other Dredd costuming site, however other costuming group administrators are welcome to do so.
Instructions of the process will also be made available on the board at the time of voting.
Administrators are contactable through the "moderator" group if you have anything you wish to discuss.
PORNOGRAPHIC MATERIAL:
Pornographic material is not allowed on the forum/page posts.
No porn in threads, no linking to porn, and no "email me for porn" threads.
These posts will be removed and the poster issued with a warning, continued posting of this type of subject nature will unfortunately result in the removal of the individual user concerned.
RELIGION AND POLITICS:
Due to the inflammatory nature of both of these topics, and the very personal and deep seated beliefs that go along with them, it is insisted that these topics are kept off the board.
This includes political ads/blurbs found in avatars, signatures and banners. Please respect each person rights to hold their own beliefs.

The forum/page is a place where costuming fans can go to find out how to upgrade their personal costumes and collections, learn a little about molding and casting their own costume pieces, a fellowship with like minded individuals. There are pleanty of DIY resources on the forum/page which you can utilise. It is NOT a site for you to make money on, as such access to the armoury is monitored. Anyone attempting to fund a business through the forum/page may face a permanent ban from such pages or the forum itself.
TRADING ISSUES:
Any trading is a users responibility. What you do in personal emails is your private business. Administration cannot act upon any dispute that comes up as a result of private transactions.
Do not bring disputes about private trades gone wrong onto the forum/page.

PERSONAL DISAGREEMENTS:
Please, no wars. Civilly disagreeing with someone is fine, but keep it in reasonable. If you don't like someone and just want to argue with them then do it on your own time, but please keep it off the forum/page.
Threats of any sort, bullying and passive/aggressive behaviour will not be tolerated in this forum/page and any behaviour of this kind will result in restricted access of the user or users involved and possible public dialogue in the "The New Old Bailey".
